Carl A. Hicks, MD
Specialty: Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Hicks received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Hicks completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UTMB, and then completed an Adult Reconstructive Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Hicks is one of the leading surgeons for Joint Replacement in the greater Houston area. He is experienced and trained in all aspects of joint replacement including minimal incision techniques, partial replacements, resurfacing, alternative bearings, and joint sparing procedures. These cutting edge procedures and techniques allow patients a quicker recovery time, and return to a more active lifestyle.

Dr. Hicks evaluates patients at both our Sugar Land and Beechnut locations. He serves as the team physician for several local high schools. Dr. Hicks is an active staff member at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Doctor’s Surgical Center, Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, Sugar Land Rehabilitation Hospital, and West Houston Medical Center.
