Eddie T. Matsu, MD

Eddie Matsu earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada before graduating from the University of Manitoba School of Medicine in Winnipeg, Canada.  He completed an internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.  Dr. Matsu also entered into a general surgery residency at UCLA-Kern County General Hospital Bakersfield, California, a cardiovascular surgery visiting residency at the Baylor college of Medicine and The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.  He also did an orthopedic residency at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Houston, Texas.  He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and licensed to practice in the state of Texas. 

Dr. Matsu has hospital affiliates with Methodist Hospital, Methodist Hospital Sugar Land, Texas Orthopedic Hospital, West Houston Outpatient Surgical Center, West Houston Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, Memorial Herman Memorial City Hospital, Doctor’s Surgical Center, and Foundation Surgical Hospital. 

Currently he serves as one of the Team Physicians for the Houston Aeros Professional Hockey Team.  He has served as an NFL disability examiner for Bert Bell Foundation and the NFL Players Association.  He has been a ten year member of the Texas Medical Association Committee for Sports Medicine, and the previous President of The Houston Orthopedic Society.
